Chapter 24.
" The killer.. was Yao..? "
Angie looked at Lisa once again, she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
" Minney! Are you ok.. ! " Lisa had started running towards Minney, who seemed to be in shock as well as Yao's blood covered her face. " What happened.. where is Vic.. what is going on here..!? " but Minney couldn't reply she was still looking at Yao's dead body.
" Angie.. help me out.. Angie..? " Lisa turned around to see Angie herself wasn't doing that well either.
" I trusted you.. I trusted all of you.. Why Yao.. why did you do it.. "
" An..gie..? " Lisa had started walking slowly back to her.
" I thought.. we were like a family.. so why.. why did you betray us.. "
" Angie! " Lisa continued to walk towards her.
" Stay away from me! " Angie pointed her gun towards Lisa.
Lisa took a step back as she left a small scream out. " Don't.. Don't do this Angie.. we are friends.. please.. "
" I can't trust you either.. are you going to betray me too Lisa.. you are just waiting for me to die! "
" That's not true! I would never do that! Please Angie.. " Lisa had began crying but Angie seemed unfazed by it.
" I'm not buying your bullshit.. Die already! " Angie shouted as she pointed her gun towards Lisa followed by a gun shot.

" Jassy.. I hear something.. "
" Its probably the zombies.. we need to be careful Zay.. "
" Jassy.. that doesn't sound like zombies.. "
" What do you mean.. " Jassy had began panicking " Maybe.. maybe it's that girl's group.. maybe they found us! " Jassy was trying to be optimistic. Zay on the other hand thought it might be a good idea to hide to which Jassy agreed on.
" Ok.. hide here! There's a table just stay underneath it.. it should be good enough" Jassy said as she helped Zay hide, her blindness was proving to be a huge weakness in a situation like this.
" Don't leave me Jassy!.. please.." Zay was trying to calm down, she didn't want to be alone again, " It's ok I will be right here, there's just not enough place for the both of us under that table.. I'll find a good hidding place.." she said as she tried to calm Zay.
Jassy was running out of time, the steps were getting closer and closer and suddenly in the darkness she noticed something on the floor, a box around her size was positioned around the corner. " This will have to do.. " she thought as she hid inside it.
" Please don't let him find me.. " she was shivering and hoped that Zay was doing alright by herself however..
" I can hear you.. ! Stop hiding and come out.. ! " Sunny had a grin on his face, his victims had nowhere to run to.
Jassy could hear the steps coming closer and closer and then suddenly..
" Here you are! "
Jassy opened her eyes, and looked up but there was nothing there.
" No.. please.. " Zay had started crying, " Don't.. do it.. please!.. help me!.. "
but Sunny didn't show any sort of remorse and cut her right in the chest.
" AAAGGHH.. he..lp..m..e..! " Were Zay's last words before she died.
Jassy could barely hold her tears as Sunny left the room.
" That was.. slightly disappointing to be honest.. " Sunny thought as he turned around and disappeared in the shadows.
As Jassy opened the box, she looked around and saw Zay's lifeless body laying right next to her.
" I.. I am so sorry Zay.. " she cried as she sat down on the floor right next to her body.

Lisa screamed as she heard the gun shot however she didn't feel any pain at all, she looked all over her body and no traces of blood. She turned around to check on Minney, she seemed to be in the exact same position however she wasn't looking at Yao's body anymore her eyes were focused on Angie.
Angie was looking to her right, someone was standing right next to her, and as she slowly felt the pain building in her body, she noticed who it was.
" My my.. I'm sorry it had to come to this.. but I don't have time for you to be killing everyone with your tantrum.. " Kate had revealed herself from the shadows, " After all.. I myself might be close to dying too.. " she continued and as everyone watched quietly she pointed at her arm, you could see blood flowing from it.
" I am infected "

Chapter 25.
" Angie! "
Lisa rushed towards Angie as she slowly collapsed on the floor.
" I.. I am so sorry Lisa.. " she said as the life in her eyes disappeared.
" Noo.. NO! Angie.. why did it have to come to this.. " Lisa said as she held Angie's lifeless body.
Kate was slowly walking towards Minney, she noticed the corpse on the floor and recognized it immediately. " I knew it would come to this Yao.. your selfishness brought your own demise.. " . She then turned back at Minney, Kate had a few questions to ask.
" Minney.. what happened to Vic..? "
Minney looked at Yao for a second then turned back to Kate and as she looked her in the eyes she whispered " He is dead ".
Kate remained silent for a bit and then continued, " I see.. do you know what happened to that girl Yao was looking for..? " Minney shrugged.
" Everyone.. is getting worse.. I need to get them out of here before it's too late.. " Kate thought to herself she then ordered Minney and Lisa to follow her.
" I.. I can't do that Kate.. " Lisa suddenly said, " You are infected after all.. "
" Even if she is infected.. she is our best option of getting out of here alive.. " Minney suddenly said.
Lisa remained silent for a second, even though the idea of walking with someone infected bothered her, Minney was right.
" .. Fine, let's get out of here.. " She finally said.
" What about the others though.. "

" Tony.. I have a bad feeling about this.. "
Kane could see the walkie talkie in the distance, around it was a pool of blood.
" I really hope they are ok.. " Kane continued his monologue with Tony.
As they reached the walkie talkie though, someone approached them, it was Sunny.
" I've been waiting for you.. ! I was wondering when you would show up.. or if the zombies had made you guys their lunch.. ! "
Tony didn't even hesitate in shooting him however the bullet didn't move him at all. As Sunny got closer it was clear he was using the same armor as before.
" Shit.. if this is what Mia was facing then we are in trouble.. "
" Now.. prepare to die! " Sunny screamed as he approached Kane with his chainsaw, he barely managed to dodge the attack.
" I need to think of something.. quick! " Kane was running out of time.
Tony threw his grenade at Sunny however it did not have any effect on him either.
" That's the best you've got?! Pathetic! " Sunny continued as he laughed maniacally however..
" That's.. SHIT.. Tony what did you do! "
Groaning could be heard coming from everywhere in the building it seems like the grenade managed to attract a fair ammount of zombies roaming around.
" Not even zombies can stop me..! I will be.. the ruler of this new world..! " Sunny had completely lost it.
" You.. You are crazy! " Kane shouted, he had began panicking " There must be a way.. there has to be.. " And then he finally figured it, " The chainsaw..! ".
He glanced at Tony, it seemed like he was thinking the same thing.
Zombies had started showing up and it seemed like Sunny's chainsaw was attracting all of their attention, Tony and Kane tried to be as quiet as possible as they left Sunny to deal with the increased ammount of zombies coming his way.
Tony signalled Kane to move, it was now or never. They both started sprinting towards Sunny each from one side, Sunny wouldn't have enough time to stop them both with all of the zombies over him.
" I won't let you ! " Sunny turned towards Tony cutting through his chest.
" NOOO! " Kane threw a flying kick pushing Sunny right into his chainsaw splitting his head in two.
As the zombies gathered around the bodies, Kane took his chance and ran across the corridor, he could barely take in what had just happened and as the zombies groaning became less and less noticeable, Kane started noting his surroundings, the corpses of group B were splattered all over the corridor.
" Everyone.. Everyone is dead.. I'm all alone.. "
He continued walking along the corridor, expecting maybe not to see one of his group members somewhere in there.
" Tony is dead.. Yen.. Jay.. " Suddenly he noticed. " Where is Jenny..?! "
He continued his path along the hallway and finally there it was, Jenny's body was right in front of him.
" Even Jenny.. this is all my fault.. I shouldn't have left.. " however Kane didn't have enough time to feel guilty though as he noticed a dying message from Jenny, as he got closer he could finally understand it.
" Minney..? "

Chapter 26
" What is.. this supposed to mean.. It obviously isn't Minney who killed everyone.. " Kane had sat down trying to decipher Jenny's dying message. A few seconds later he noticed she was holding something on her hand, it was a cellphone.
" Maybe.. it has more information inside it.. " Kane thought as he took the phone out of Jenny's hand. He was right, as he opened the lid there was a short text message displayed on the screen.
" She Killed Daisy. "
It seemed like all of Kane's world was about to collapse. " This.. can't be true.. ". As he layed there reading the message again and again his anger towards Minney increased and also his feeling of loneliness. " I need to find her.. ".

" I can't take this anymore.. "
Jassy had been walking for a few minutes, however she had barely reached the door on the other side. Zay's death still haunted her and she couldn't take her mind off the look she had in her face as she died. It was pure fear.
" I don't deserve to live.. after what I did to Zay.. " she kept thinking. Her feet were moving by themselves and with no consideration as to where. They suddenly bumped into something which was hard enough to wake her up from her daydream. " What is this.. " she slowly looked down to find a body laying on the floor. The body shocked her a little but then she noticed a writting on the floor, it said Minney.
" Who are you!? " Kane had Tony's gun pointing at her.
" I.. I'm Jassy.. Who are you..? " Neither of the two had idea of each others existence until then. " How did you survive this long! " Kane still didn't feel like he could trust her, and with more reason after all he had suffered.
Jassy stood silent for a while and then slowly explained, " I betrayed my friends.. and left them to die.. ". Kane was a little surprised with how honest she was regarding her situation, rather than playing the victim card. He slowly lowered the gun and turned around, " You can go.. ".
" I.. I'm all alone.. " Jassy had began crying as to which Kane replied as he was walking further and further away, " you brought that to yourself, besides.. I've had enough betrayal in my heart to suffer.. not in need of any more ".
" Tony?!.. Kane?! Is anyone there..? Please answer.. " Kane found himself scared for a second, with all that had happened so quickly he had completely forgotten what his mission was. He turned around and said " You are in luck.. " and rushed towards the walkie talkie. Jassy followed slowly behind.
" KATE!? How.. how did it go.. "
" I managed to save a few of them.. things were going crazy.. they had started having trust issues and killing each other.. " Minney and Lisa were a little hurt by this words, mostly because deep down they knew it was true.
" Is.. Minney there.. " Minney suddenly felt a horrible feeling around her body, it was guilt covering all of her. Lisa took a quick glance at her and then again, Minney was suddenly shaking a lot.
" Minney.. what's wrong? " Lisa asked her but she didn't reply.
" She is here.. Lisa is here too.. the rest.. they are dead.. " Kate continued informing Kane about the current situation, she needed to know what had happened over there too.
" I need.. to see Minney.. right now.. "
" Kane.. I need to know what happened over there.. ! You can discuss with Minney anytime you want later.. "
" She.. She killed Daisy! "
Minney pushed Lisa out of her way, and started running along the hallway. As the tears fell down her face all she could think was " Kane hates me ".
" Wait ! Minney come back! " Lisa's words weren't having any effect and before they knew it Minney had disappeared in the shadows.
Even though Kate was surprised by Kane's accusations she didn't have much time, she needed to know what happened there.
" Let me talk to her! " Kane was about to explode, he needed to know, " Why? Why had she decided to take away the only person he had loved? ".
" I know.. you are angry.. but please.. focus.. we need to know what happened there.. "
" You have no idea what I've been through all this days.. I trusted her.. How can you be so indifferent towards this! " Lisa stood surprised as she quietly listened to Kane's suffering.
" Shut it..! I'm infected..! Now.. get yourself together and explain everything to me before its too late.. " After Kate said this there was a weird silence, it lasted for about a minute.
" Please.. Kane.. " Kate was feeling weaker and weaker as time passed by, she could barely hold herself on foot and Lisa was caught off guard when Kate's feet collapsed.
" The killer is dead.. Tony sacrificed in order for us to achieve our plan.. " Jassy was surprised listening to the conversation, it seemed like Kane had achieved what she had desired all this time. " Everyone else is dead.. however I found a girl.. her name is Jassy and she is alive.. "
Kate felt relief as she heard those last words " Then at least.. not everything will be lost when I'm gone.. Kane.. I want you to come find Lisa.. we are a few steps into the left corridor.. really close to the place we came from.. "
" Ok.. we will be on our way.. " Kane and Jassy had started walking towards there.
" Ah.. One more thing.. Please do your best.. to keep.. everyone safe.. I'm counting on you.. good bye..! "
Kate handed Lisa the walkie talkie and as she looked her straight in the eye, it had become obvious what she had to do. Lisa began crying, she didn't think she was prepared to do it, killing Kate.
" You are strong.. I heard.. you were your class president and you were chosen because of how much you cared for everyones well being.. well then class rep.. will you help me with mine? " Kate slowly whispered as she struggled to maintain consciousness.
" I.. Lisa president of class 4-B.. will do my best! " Lisa slowly raised Kate's gun, it was now pointing towards her head. " Good bye Lisa.. " Kate said as she fell prey to her sickness, Lisa hesitated for a second " Good bye Kate.. " and then with all her strength fired the bullet.

Chapter 27 - Final
" Do you.. mind me walking with you.. "
" Just walk.. " Kane didn't have time to even bother considering Jassy's presence, all the ideas in his head were making everything even more chaotic for him.
" Do I even want to save them.. " Kane was struggling to keep himself calm.
Jassy had become really worried about Kane's well-being, " I wonder if he will just shoot me out of nowhere.. I guess he has had it rough too.. ".
" Let's just keep going.. " he thought and they proceeded to walk alongside the corridor. They finally spotted someone sitting in the corner. It was Lisa.
" Kane! " She stood up and rushed towards him as she gave him as hug. " I was.. I'm so sorry.. " Lisa said as tears fell. " It's not your fault.. any of this.. I just want to get you out of here.. but.. " Kane's face suddenly showed a huge ammount of pain.
" Minney.. is out there.. and you want to find her.. right? " Lisa knew it was hard for Kane and what it implied not finding Minney, never finding out the answer to his question.
" I want to go too.. I myself need to know why " she continued, Kane even though he didn't approve of her decision decided to let her come along, after all it was not up to him to prevent her from going.
As the three of them walked along the corridor into the darkness, Lisa had this weird feeling.
" Hey Kane.. this all feels.. too familiar.. "
" What do you mean..? " Kane was slightly confused.
" You and me.. on our way to finding Minney.. isn't it ironic..? " she continued, " Back then.. all we wanted to do was save Minney.. but now.. "
" Enough already.. Please Lisa.. "
Lisa was just as disappointed as him regarding Minney, all of them three had shared many memories in their class even before the zombie accident. " It is hard for me to believe.. what everything has come to be.. " she thought " I too share your pain.. ".
Jassy, who seemed to be the one doing the best out of the three suddenly spotted something in the distance thanks to the light of the sunrise, they almost seemed to forget that all the chaos in that building had happened just in one night. Far in front of them, right at the end, Minney was sitting quietly. " I see her..! " she said but it seemed like neither Kane or Lisa had any words to reply, they were saving them all for Minney.
" Do you hate me now.. Kane..? Lisa? " Minney whispered slowly. " Do you hate... what I have become..? "
" Minney.. " Lisa had many thought on her mind but suddenly she couldn't say them, the pain was too big.
" Yes.. I did it.. I killed Daisy.. " she continued.
Kane slowly walked towards her, " Why.. Why would you do that.. "
" I was.. I loved you Kane.. I didn't want her to get in my way.. I thought that.. maybe if she wasn't there.. you would come back and see me.. and love me in return.. " Minney had tears in her eyes " I.. always liked you.. but you never cared for me.. you always treated me poorly.. I was jealous.. Daisy had all your attention.. you even treated her better.. I had to do it! "
Kane raised his hand and reached for Minney's face. Lisa just stood there as she watched Kane slap Minney.
" You are.. such an idiot..! " Kane had began shivering, he could barely control himself, " You were.. one of my closest friends.. I always told you everything! " Kane started crying, " You were the first person I told about.. liking Daisy.. and even then.. " He then looked at her straight in the eyes, " You.. You killed her.. because you were selfish and didn't want me.. to be happy with someone else.. "
Minney didn't know how to reply anymore, " I can't take this.. your hate.. is too much.. ".
Lisa stood in a corner crying as Jassy tried comforting her, " The Minney I know.. wouldn't have done this.. what happened to you? "
" That Minney.. is long gone.. ever since she realized.. that in order to survive.. you have be smarter than the rest.. " she continued as tears fell continuously " I however.. haven't outsmarted you guys.. it is game over for me.. "
" What.. do we do now Kane.. "
Kane was burning with hatred inside, he held his gun pointing right at Minney's heart, " Now I just have to fire.. ". He stood there for a while, everyone waited quietly for him to do something. " Come on Kane.. Do it! ". But the time continued to pass, and finally Kane lowered his gun.
" Why.. Why won't you do it.. " Minney started panicking. " Why won't you end my suffering once and for all.. "
" I too.. am suffering but I will never let my old self transform into what you have become.. " he said, " Lisa.. Jassy.. we are leaving.. "
" Don't.. Please.. don't leave me.. I don't want to die all alone.. "
" When you've found your old self back.. you can come back to us" Kane said.
Jassy took a quick glance at what seemed to be Minney crying in silence.
" Don't look back.. even if it hurts " Lisa said as she held her tears.
As they all three walked back together, Kane looked at Lisa, even though she had been crying her face looked slightly more peaceful now. Jassy however was left really confused, " I don't get you.. I don't get any of this.. " she thought.
" Why.. Why do you push yourself so hard.. " Jassy suddenly said which made Kane stop immediately. Jassy felt like she had made a mistake saying that, Kane still wasn't moving. Suddenly, he turned around and said " I myself.. find it difficult to carry on.. when everyone is dying and you can't do anything.. why do I keep trying.. what is pushing me forward.. everything I ever wanted is gone.. ". Jassy shared the same feeling.
" However.. " he continued, " I finally understood.. why I keep fighting.. because somewhere deep inside I still believe.. that everything will go back to being the way it used to.. in order for that to happen.. we have to fight! "
Lisa nodded slightly and as she looked at Jassy, she noticed how amusing Kane's answer had been for her.
" I see.. " she began crying " I too.. want to fight so one day.. everything will be just like before.. ! ".
" Then lets go! ".
