Chapter 13.

Everyone remained silent. They all expected the situation but they wished for it to be false.

" No.. way.. " Jenny finally said.

" Mom.. Dad.. Everyone.. " she continued as tears started falling down her face, " They are all dead.. And all I can do is cry.. Is it even worth it.. What am I even fighting for.. " Everyone was staring at her now, they all shared her feelings somehow. Daisy approched her and tried to calm her although she too needed calming, she took a look at everyone around them and felt them all so distant but the person whose distance felt strongest was Kane's.

" Why do you feel so strange now.. what has happened to you Kane.. " she thought as she too let her tears show.

The group remained silent for a while as they still were handling the news, meanwhile Yao had gone back to speak to her team, the atmosphere was really gloomy so she decided it would be a good moment to introduce his team to Vic's group.

" Well.. I'm sorry to have been so blunt just a bit ago.. I wasn't really sure of how to handle such information.. Anyways I thought it would be a good moment to introduce the team so yeah.. " she turned around and continued " This right here is Mia, she and I have been together in the special forces for a while now.. " Mia then proceeded to greet the group and Yao continued once again " That person over there is Tony, he used to be a delincuent but with good training he has become one of our most efficient members " she said as she pointed towards him, Tony however didn't really react to his introduction, he just remained quiet " He isn't that expressive as you can see.. Anyways over there we have Kate, she is one of our bravest members and isn't afraid to put her life on the line " Kate nodded at the group " And last but not least we have Momo, she is the newest addition to our team but she shows great confidence in battle " Momo seemed to be a little worried but was very friendly when greeting the group. " There is also Angie but you already know her!.. "
Angie was just looking from afar as always.

" I still have another question.. " Minney said after all the introductions were done " What's the plan now? Where do we go from here? " Once again Vic's group was paying close attention to the words that would come from Yao's mouth.

" You see.. we have only been here for some minutes.. however there's few options we can take at this moment.. the most realistic one is escaping through one of the adjacent buildings to this school such as the one right across from us.. however it's situation might be even worse than here but chances of finding food are much higher and also being in a high school infested with zombies isn't such a great situation to begin with.. " she said.

" But.. how do you plan on getting to the other building with all those zombies roaming around..? " Lisa wasn't too sure about the plans success rate, it seemed like most if not all of them would die trying to get to the other building. " That's where our equipment comes in handy.. show them Tony! " Yao said as she turned around to Tony , he was holding a weird kind of rope, it had some kind of weight attached to its end.

" So you plan to use the rope to climb from one building to the other.. that's pretty smart " said Vic who had restored some confidence in this plan " But.. I dont think it's possible to get to that bulding from here.. " interrumpted Minney, she shared Lisa's more skeptical views on the plan " There's no windows close enough from this part of the school.. we would have to get all the way to one of the classrooms on the other side.. and who knows how many zombies are there.. also the guns would probably attract a lot if not all the remaining zombies in the school.. " she continued.

" That's our only plan.. If you think of something better than this then please share it.. " bursted Kate to which Minney remained silent, even though she didn't agree with the plan there was no other option " That's what I thought " Kate said after a few seconds of silence.

" Well then.. Can we count with you guys? " The group stared at each other, and after a few seconds Vic finally said :

" Lets do this.. "

Chapter 14.

" Kane.. can I talk with you for a minute.. "

Kane who was preparing the equipment for their mission turned around calmly to see who was talking to him.

" It's something important.. " she said. " I.. I've always liked you.. ! " Kane who was watching her closely for a while took a long breath and as he approached her he pronounced the following words " I'm sorry but.. there's someone I like already.. "

Daisy was clearly not in the mood that day, " Kane.. is so weird.. " " What's... up with that.. " " I DON'T GET IT.. " and Jenny who was slowly approaching her noticed as Daisy unconciously gave her a cold look.

" Is.. something wrong.. Daisy! You know.. you can always tell me !" said quietly Jenny to which Daisy replied " I am fine.. thank you for asking.. " as Jenny left Daisy alone she thought to herself " I guess she just doesn't want to talk about it.. "

The mission was about to start so Yao decided to explain the plan once again " Ok guys the time is coming so I want you to listen carefully.. thanks to Vic for the information we now know that zombies are actually blind so unless they touch you, you should be fine.. If that happens to be the case however you'll most likely have to use your weapon to defend yourself but only if it's neccesary don't use your weapon until you are in a dangerous position! You could ruin it for all of us if you do ! Next! Zombies may not be completely good at listening but they will hear you if you make a sound loud enough and if they do you are pretty much doomed so watch out your breathing patterns and your steps too. The goal here is to get the rope to the other side, I don't care who does it as long as someone does. Lastly, you are very likely to die in this mission so think about it.. if there's anything you want to say or do, this is your time "

Yao stared at Daisy after saying this " She knows.. " Daisy thought, she stood up and walked towards Kane and was surprised to see he was talking with Minney, as she approached the two, Minney turned her back and walked right past Daisy, she was crying. " Was she.. " but she didn't have time to worry about Minney, she was about to tell Kane her true feelings for him.

" Kane.. can I talk with you for a minute.. "

Kane who was preparing the equipment for their mission turned around to see who was talking to him. His eyes were off, he wasn't there at all.

" How am I supposed to tell him when he is like this.. Does he hate me or something.. why is he being so distant.. Kane.. whats wrong with you.. you've changed so much lately.. " Daisy thought as she started crying " This is not what I wanted " as she turned around she finally said " nevermind.. "

" Ok we are ready to go.. remember the plan ! " said Mia and everyone nodded, it was finally time to put the plan into action.

Chapter 15.

" You've got to be kidding me.. "

Lisa couldn't help herself as she took a peek at the hallway " This is insane.. there's no way we are going to make it across with this many zombies out there.. " she once again began to be really concerned with the success rate of this plan.

" Shit.. this is worse than what I expected.. it would take us hours to get across.. thats if they don't figure us out sometime in between.. we need to think of something else.. " Vic said to which Yao replied with a grin " This is exactly what I expected.. Momo the grenade! ".

" That's insane you are gonna kill us all! " Vic was completely confused right now this was not part of the plan " Take it easy pretty boy.. " said Kate " Everyone back up.. and don't move.. Momo now! "

Momo then fired the grenade across the hallway however towards the other side, the sound was big enough to catch the attention of all zombies in front of them " Oh.. I get it now.. that's quite the good idea! " Vic thought while the zombies slowly approached the place of the sound.

This time things went much better, only a few zombies remained in that side of the hallway but they had to be quick or else they would come back, as they started moving however..

" AHHH! NOOOO ! " everyone turned around, it was Daisy, a zombie had noticed her but once again no one moved. " What no this can't be..! Help! Someone.. " but nobody was coming to her rescue, she then looked at Kane, he was avoiding eye contact.

Kane however was looking around everywhere, someone had to do something.. someone.. everywhere he looked no one was moving.. no one cared.. he took a quick look at Angie, she was just standing there frozen as she foresaw what was coming, a horrible dejavu.

Then suddenly, Yao looked at Kane she gave her signal and everyone started walking towards the room, they were leaving " This.. can't be it.. " Kane thought " Come on.. someone.. do something.. Kane why won't you move... move it! " he continued as zombies had started surrounding Daisy he then noticed someone looking at him, Daisy had been staring at him the whole time, only a quick glimpse was needed for Kane to move.

" NOO! I'm not letting this happen again! " Kane rushed towards Daisy " It is not over.. I can still save her ! " he thought as he knocked the zombies one after another however by the time he finally reached Daisy he noticed something, " No way.. this can't be true.. " she had a bite mark on her arm.

" It's too late! Kane please go! " but Kane just stood there " You are coming with me.. now move it! "he said " NOO Please.. I don't want you to die with me.. there's no saving for me.. now GO! " Kane took a final look at Daisy, the girl he had always loved and he finally understood.. she had also always loved him.

As he reached the group once again, he couldn't help letting his tears fall " I'm so stupid.. if I had.. this wouldn't have happened.. "
