Chapter 19.

" Mia.. get out of there! "

Yao kept trying to warn Mia, " This.. This is no ordinary person Mia.. "

" I can take anyone.. " Mia thought as she pointed her gun towards the figure, she could almost distinguish him thanks to the windows. Angie and Lisa were watching closely as they wondered if it was ok to point the gun towards that person. " What if he is from group B.. you aren't completely sure.. " Lisa suddenly said, for Mia that was the only thing preventing her from shooting.

However a few seconds later it became clear Yao's warning had been quite accurate. " Wh-- What..!?" Mia had started panicking as she finally got a clear image of the person running towards her, he was completely armored, from head to toes.

" Is this some kind of joke.. !? " Mia was now slowly backing off and signalled Lisa and Angie to run however as she turned around to run too she got chills down her spine, " Is he.. right behind me..!? ".

She turned her head to get a small glimpse and suddenly she saw it..

" A chainsaw..!! " however as she started running she felt pain all over her neck, " What is this.. Why does it hurt so much.. " she saw Angie in the distance and tried calling for her however..

" What?! Someone hunting people down..? " Kate didn't seem to understand what the problem was with that and why Yao was making a big deal out of it " Wouldn't our group be able to deal with that type of problems immediately?" she continued, " No.. you don't understand.. " suddenly everyone turned towards the new couple.

" What do you mean?.. " Tony had opened his mouth for the first time in a very long time, even the couple found his comment rather odd but they continued anyways " Let us explain properly.. from the beginning.. our names are Jay and Yen.. we arrived to this building yesterday and found out quite a big group of people were making this place their new refuge so we decided to tag along, it was a good idea at the time.. however things started to turn bad pretty soon.." Jay took a short breath and Yen took this chance to continue the story " The chaos.. started to get to some of us.. but no one could expect what happened after.. our leader had gone missing.. we had no idea where he was it was only until earlier today when he finally showed up.. however.. something had happened to him he was acting very weird he was also fully geared up in some kind of outfit.. so one of our girls went to see what was wrong and then.. he killed her.. " Yen took a small pause to look at everyone, Jenny had let out a small gasp " he then proceeded to target us one by one and had taken at least 5 lives before we managed to escape.. we don't know what happened after but we've been trying to find the stairs for a few hours now.. but we were too afraid that he would find us.. so our progress has been rather slow.. "

" So.. there's a serial killer loose somewhere in this building..? " Jenny shrugged at the idea of getting caught by him, " Don't worry we probably have more weapons than their group " Kate said, she still didn't seem very bothered by the idea of that guy running around, " His armor.. I'm not sure what it's made of but.. bullets do nothing to it.."

" How is that even possible.. in a building like this? " Jenny said but Kane had to interrupt her " This isn't an ordinary building " he finally said, " What do you mean..? " It seemed Kane had caught Kate's attention too " What type of building is this.. " she continued.

" Well.. there's a rumour in our high school regarding this building.. it is known that this building has been abandoned for a few years, probably why you guys decided to run towards here too.." he said as he looked at Yen and Jay, " Rumour has it that this was some kind of laboratory that was shutdown for unknown reasons, to be honest I don't really have any idea of whether this rumour was even sligthly true or not however it would explain how this "leader" of yours could find such type of armor..."

"A laboratory!? right next to a high school? " Yao had a hard time believing what the girl was saying " I'm sorry Jassy but.. it sounds like just a rumour to me.. " Jassy however wasn't going to let it go so easily " I.. I know what I saw.. this guy.. I've never seen anything like that.. he must have found it.. I know it's just a rumour but.. what if its true? " Minney who had been listening closely decided to confirm the existence of this rumour too.

Yao thought for a second, she took a quick look at Vic, Minney and finally Jassy and said " If this is true.. then we are in big trouble.. I need to contact Mia and get us out of here.. "

" I.. I can't talk..!?" she put her hand around her neck and she finally understood, " I'm so stupid.. " she thought as the blood started covering her hand and now fell through her arm.

Mia's eyesight was slowly becoming more and more blurry and then finally it all turned black " I'm sorry Yao.. I'm so sorry.. " she thought as she slowly fell
to the ground, she could barely feel the chainsaw as it got closer and closer and suddenly it was all over.

Chapter 20.

" Mia..?! "

After some moments of silence, Yao tried saying the name again, and again but no reply could be heard from the other side.

" This is bad.. " Vic knew what that silence meant.

" I.. I need to go..!! " Jassy was shivering " He.. He is going to kill us all..!! " she pushed herself away from Yao gave her a quick look and ran off.

" Wait! " Yao decided to sprint behind her, but the darkness of the building made things a little more complicated for Minney and Vic.

" I.. I lost them.. " Minney suddenly said, " What.. What do you.. mean you lost them..?! " Vic said as he tried to regain his breath and continued , " This.. This is even worse.. " Minney turned around and told Vic who had started panicking " Get a hold of yourself.. aren't you supposed to be trained for this type of situations..? " This words seemed to work like magic on Vic who was now trying to keep calm, " We should go find the others.. " Minney suggested to which Vic agreed, but they couldn't go the same way they came or else they would come across the killer " How about this way? " Vic noticed a long corridor a little further ahead from the room they were standing next to, " I guess that's our only way " and so they went into the depths of this new hallway.

" I.. I can't run anymore.. "

Angie was having a really hard time controlling her body.

" Come on! Or else.. or else he will find us! " Lisa wasn't going to give up so easily.

However the small break had helped them notice something, " No one.. no one is following us..?! " Lisa and Angie remained silent for a second and in fact, no one was following them. They found themselves relieved for a moment until, " Wait a minute.. where is Mia..? " Lisa and Angie had panicked once again " Don't tell me he got her..? " Angie whispered but Lisa slowly disagreed " She is Mia.. she couldn't have died.. right..? " but the silence was making Mia's sad fate far more likely " Should we go back for her..? " Angie finally suggested but once again Lisa had to disagree " If the killer has her.. then we would only be sacrificing ourselves.. we need to find the others.. ". And so Angie and Lisa started to walk slowly along the hallway, it was only a few seconds before they noticed someone on the floor in front of them.

" Look ! there's someone the- " as they got closer to the body they noticed all the blood splattered everywhere, after a few seconds of close inspection they could tell the body belonged to Momo.

" If this guy is really a serious threat.. then Vigil group will need our help "

Kate decided it would be fair to split just in case, " Me and Tony will go check this out.. the rest of you will stay and wait for our signal if we don't report in 30 minutes then assume we are goners.. "

" Wait! I.. want to go too.. I can be of some help.. " Kane suddenly blurted.

" I don't th-" Kate was about to reject his request but Tony gave her a small nod " Ok fine.. you can come.. the rest of you.. you know what to do"

And so Kate, Tony and Kane left to help the Vigil group.

" What do we do now to pass time.. " Jenny suggested they could inspect the rooms to see if there might be anything useful, Jay and Yen agreed on it and so they decided to check out the nearby rooms.

" A lantern.. I guess this could be helpful.. now If only I could find some batteries " but it seemed Jenny was out of luck, suddenly she felt small chills down her spine but when she turned around there was no one there, " it must be my imagination.. " she thought and so she continued looking without much luck, it was only until she heard Yen scream that she took a quick look outside of her room.

" A boy..? " Yen had gotten so scared from seeing him that she tripped.

" Need a little help? " he kindly asked to which Yen nodded. Jenny took a quick look at Jay who seemed to be a little uncomfortable with the situation, " Couples.. " Jenny thought to herself and decided to introduce herself to the new guy.

" I'm Sunny, nice to meet you too " he replied and continued " I already know this other two.. ".

Jenny looked at the duo and Jay decided to be the one talking this time " He is from our previous group.. we actually thought he was a goner since we couldn't really see him at that moment.. "

" But we are really glad you are ok Sunny! " Yen added.

" I guess the more the better, right? " Jenny thought " Well did you find anything useful guys? " she continued to which Yen and Jay raised their hands only to show they were completely empty. " Well I got a lantern.. I guess it could be useful with some batteries so keep an eye out on those.. "

And so the four of them remained quiet, waiting for the signal to be made.

" There's someone there! "

Kate was sprinting as fast as she could but then she suddenly stopped.

" What is it Kate.. " but there was no need to answer, it became obvious once Tony and Kane got next to her.

" This is Kate.. we found Mia.. I repeat, we found Mia.. she is dead.. " but there was one other thing bugging Kate, " How did this happen.. and.. where did the killer go..? " after a small pause Kane finally said " He is probably after the other team.. we need to warn them! "

" Team A.. this is Kate from Team B.. stay together.. I repeat do not separate no matter what.. "

After a small pause, someone replied.

" This is Yao.. from Team A.. I.. I am all by myself right now.. "

Chapter 23.

" This isn't good.. "

Kane was expecting the worse, " What do we do now.. "

" How am I supposed to know.. " It seems like Kate had finally lost all of her patience, " Yao left us.. everyone is scattered with a fucking serial killer going around.. we have zombies roaming this building like crazy.. and you expect me to fucking know what to do..?! I just.. can't take it.. ! " all of the problems, had slowly affected Kate until she couldn't help but feel hopeless.


Tony walked towards Kate, he lifted his hand and gave Kate a slap.

" Tony.. "

" It's in this circumstances.. that we need to keep our composture.. I felt like you needed some help..

After some seconds of silence, Kate stood back up and said " You are right.. I don't know what got into me, thank you " to which Tony just nodded slightly.

Kane was just amused at the situation but he suddenly got his feet on the ground again, " We.. we have two main problems.. for us to find the rest of the people.. we definitely have to split up, but there might be a way.. "

"Keep going kiddo, seems like you have a plan.. "

" Well.. if one of us goes back to our group we could figure out what happened over there.. and if.. what we thought was true.. then we could use the walkie talkie to keep in contact with each other.. however if it is true.. then there's a lot of danger in going back.. " Kane took a small breath and continued " I volunteer to go back.. If it comes to it.. I'm the least useful out of the 3 of us.. "

Kate and Tony remained quiet for a second, then Kate finally said " Tony.. go with him, he might be right in being dangerous to go back.. but none of us is more important than the other, and between the both I can probably hold up better on my own, I just ask for the walkie talkie in exchange.. "

Tony handed over the walkie talkie.

" Take care.. "

" You too kiddo.. " and with that, Kate disappeared in the shadows of the night.

" Lets go.. "

" What.. the hell happened here.. "

Yao was standing alone in the corridor, all she could see was blood splattered all over the floor.

" It seems very recent.. I really hope it's not anyone from our group.. " as she looked on the floor however she found something peculiar regarding an specific blood mark.

" Hand..writting..?! " , Yao focused her light onto it and read the message, It said " Minney ".

" Um.. Zay right? "

Jassy and Zay had been walking in complete silence for a few minutes.

".. Yes? "

" How exactly.. did you get here? ", Jassy didn't remember noticing anyone blind at all when she entered the building with her group.

" Um.. I'm not sure.. mom said.. we would be ok here, that there were nice people here and they would take care of me.. " Jassy thought she might be talking about her group, and remembered noticing a young woman who mentioned having lost her daughter, " I wonder if it was her.. "

" So.. what happened Zay..? "

" I never got to meet those people.. mom went to get us some food from them.. but she never came back.. so I just hid and waited for mom to come back.. but she never came.. "

" Don't.. don't worry, we will get out of here.. "

" You promise..? ", Jassy felt like giving Zay some hope would be better and so she replied " Yes, I promise ".

" We.. we are trapped.. "

Minney had started regretting talking so loud with Vic, " I.. didn't expect them to notice us.. those bastards.. ". Vic was across the corridor, hiding on the room to the other side, he was signalling Minney to keep quiet and just wait it out.

" What else.. can I do.. " she thought as she followed Vic's signals, she looked around the room to see if maybe there was something she could use, " Seems like the people living here did a pretty good job in cleaning this place from anything useful.. " however as she searched around she dropped a book, " Shit..! " the sound was loud enough to attract the zombies which were pretty close to the room.

Vic on the other room was doing the same, " Please.. something.. " as she noticed the trouble Minney had gotten into. " This.. " Vic found something which would save Minney however it would take his life in exchange, a megaphone. He thought about it for a second and then, he saw them, her eyes covered in fear and tears as the zombies drew in closer.

" I may be in the apocalypse.. but I would never forgive myself if I let that happen.. not again.. Alej.. " and so Vic grabbed the megaphone.

" HEY IDIOTS! " , the zombies turned around immediately and began walking towards his room, " YEAH COME HERE! BRING IT ON! "

Minney was in complete shock, he signalled for Vic to get out of there.

" RUN! "

Minney took the chance and ran as fast as she could as the tears fell on her face she could hear the painful screams of Vic as he was eaten alive. " I won't die.. I promise.. "

" Stop right there! "

" That.. scream.. make it stop..! "

" It's ok Lisa ", Angie held her tight, she tried covering her ears.

" That scream.. it was Vic right..? ", Lisa was still in shock, she had heard that voice before and wished she hadn't.

" Let's not think about it.. first we have to find someone.. right? "

" True.. I hope everyone is ok.. "

Lisa and Angie had gotten to know each other in the past hours, they told stories to each other to keep calm and what they would do when this was over and how everyone else had probably dealt with the serial killer. However Angie was still worried, " What about Momo.. " she thought but she wouldn't let her thoughts scare Lisa, " We have gone through the same after all.. ".

As they walked however they heard something happening nearby, they both looked at each other, " Let's go..! "

" Please! Someone help me! ", it was Minney.

" What is going on..! " Angie thought but she knew exactly what was going on " The killer..! ".

They both turned around the corner to see a shadow pointing a gun towards another person, " You are not getting away this time! " Angie thought as she pointed her gun towards the killer.

" Angie Wait..! ", but Lisa's warning was too late, the killer had fallen to the ground and after a few seconds stopped moving.

Angie was finally relieved " The killer.. is finally dead.. we did it Lisa! " she thought however as she turned to look at Lisa's face, she was still speechless looking at the figure on the floor. As she too turned to the figure, her eyes widened.

" Yao..?! "

Hohoho coming to an end ;Spy still some chapters to go ! also probably longest chapter I've written so far.. but I didn't want to leave Lisa out of it for a second time 8(
